Letitia Wright unveils new wax figure at Madame Tussauds

Actress and producer Letitia Wright, acclaimed for her role as warrior princess Shuri in Black Panther, is now memorialized as a wax figure in Madame Tussauds.

Wax figures of the Guyanese-British actress will be on display at three of the museum’s locations around the globe: Hollywood, London, and Sydney. The figures honor her iconic superhero character Shuri donning a vibranium-laced suit and posed in the Wakanda Forever salute.

Creating the signature Madame Tussauds figures typically takes about four months and a team of approximately 20 artists. The highly technical process includes countless hours of meticulously detailed sculpting, molding, photography and design, all in consultation with the celebrity. If you’re going to be stuck in a display, you want to look your best.

At the unveiling, Letitia exclaimed, “This is mad!” noting the uncanny accuracy of seeing herself in wax. We’re excited fans everywhere will have an opportunity to connect with this awesome GT girl, whether real or waxy version!
