About Us
Community. Lifestyle. Heritage.
What we do
Guyana Fest is a festival event that celebrates the beauty and diversity of Guyanese culture.
Through our festival, community and inspiring stories of everyday Guyanese across the globe, we are on a mission to connect and empower young Guyanese to proudly represent their heritage for generations to come.
Created For Us, By Us
We are cousins who are proud to be Guyanese! Our cultural heritage is a source of joy and we want that to be the same for other young diasporans. Between us, we’ve visited and lived in cities with huge (and some tiny) Guyanese communities like Los Angeles, New York City, Toronto and London. We’ve met many 2nd generation+ diasporans who, like us, proudly embrace the culture and also many others who feel disconnected and rarely identify as Guyanese - preferring only “American”, “British,” “Canadian” etc.
We’re on a mission to change this trend. We founded Guyana Fest as a community for young Guyanese to connect and be empowered to boldly represent our cultural heritage everywhere, for generations to come. Join us in the movement!
