Arian Dahlia Richmond won the prestigious Miss Global International 2024. She was crowned among nearly 20 delegates from across the globe who competed in the Cayman Islands on Oct 13. Richmond’s impressive performance not only won the title but also claimed seven special awards including: Best Interview, Best National Costume, Best Evening Gown, Best Talent, People’s Choice Award, Best Smile and Miss Community Service. Here are 5 fun facts about this 25 year old pageant queen.
She’s a passionate youth advocate
More than six years ago, Richmond and her mother founded the nonprofit, Youth Development Guyana focused on providing educational supports for youth. Offerings include art therapy and STEM classes all focused on building self-esteem. They are currently working in 4 of Guyana’s 10 regions.
She hails from Bartica
Arian hails from the vibrant town of Bartica, in the Cuyuni Mazaruni Region of Guyana.
She’s an aspiring entrepreneur
She is currently pursuing a degree in Tourism & Hospitality Management at the University of Uganda. As she shared, “The degree I will acquire in tourism will allow me to be the optimal ambassador for Guyana, making it easier for the world to experience our vast beauty! My goal is to provide gainful employment for youth by owning Guyana’s first chain of beauty stores offering unisex and organic self-care products.”
She’s a multi-pageant winner
Arian’s pageantry accomplishments is ongoing. She was the First Runner-Up at Miss World Guyana 2022, the Second Runner-Up at Miss Emerald International 2020, and the Queen of Miss Bartica Regatta 2018.
